Hope everyone is doing well. I purposely haven't inundated this page with a bunch of messages/comments because the last thing I want to contribute to, is fluff. There seems to be plenty of that on other pages..haha!!

What works for me, may not work for you, so take everything I say with a grain of salt. Prior to joining this platform, I had already started to assess and inventory what I had on hand. My reasoning to do that was because I have been paying attention at a lot of different things that I interpret as very concerning. Not just with current events but my own readiness level to deal with any scenario. I became complacent in a lot of areas the past few years as life kept me busy as hell, but we all are human.

After identifying any deficiencies, I prioritized them in rank order so that I could establish a timeline that the deficiency would be eliminated. I keep a small circle of friends and have had great discussions. We are all on the same page. I imagine most of you are doing the same thing.

Strength in numbers- I believe this platform will offer all of us to expand our own inner circles on our own terms and that is a good thing. Perhaps in the near future there can be local meet ups (within a fair distance) so that an initial network (outside of our existing inner circle) of like-minded people can connect. I have no doubt that collaboration of training, skills and just having fun, will foster a necessary kinship.

I'm not sure what the future holds for this platform or how major changes will feed into that, but I am thankful that Mike saw the need to create a means for individuals to connect. As humans, and especially us veterans, we all are tribal. We seek to belong. We seek to contribute. That is what has allowed humans to project themselves into the future and exist. When we face anything that can compromise the proper process of that future existence, we must become organized individually, so that we can be effective collectively, and stop whatever it is interrupting that process.
